The Conversation
Important Conversations usually happen in the board room of a host company on a midweek morning from 7.30am to 9.30am and this allows for a meet and greet and a short comfort break half way through.
The Conversation Facilitator introduces everyone and sets the scene for the host to lay out their challenge around the topic. Everyone contributes. There are usually three closely related questions linked to the topic discussed to ensure that each peer’s conversation request has been met. Usually several Peers’ challenges overlap. There are usually five to eight attendees and the energy is positive, friendly and welcoming.
Conversation Partners and hosts cover the production costs for the Important Conversation to occur. The Partner provides a leader or a top subject matter expert and they contribute to the conversation as peers. They do not pitch or present. We carefully choose our Partners so the attendees find them great company.
Before leaving each peer shares their key take away and they propose a future Important Conversation topic and suggest other leaders who would be a good fit for future Important Conversations.
